Established in 1983, Consumer Unity & Trust Society (CUTS International) is a non-profit non-governmental organisation, engaged in promoting consumer sovereignty in the framework of social justice, economic equality and environmental balance, within and across borders. It is a leading Southern voice working on three verticals: Rules-based trade; Effective regulation; and Good governance. The proposed study will help to facilitate the State government of West Bengal and Odisha to identify the gaps in terms of skill training and capacity building of the community (both local and workforce) to enable them to be an active agent of the much-enabled transition to a cleaner and greener future.
